Medical Receptionist

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Front Desk Operations**:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and vendors as they arrive at the center.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate departments or staff members.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, providing accurate information or routing to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- **Patient Management**:
- Assist patients with the registration process, including verifying personal and insurance information.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments, including follow-up appointments.
- Collect and process payments, issue receipts, and manage billing inquiries.
- Handle patient records and ensure confidentiality as per HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports, including appointment schedules.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and order new supplies as needed.
- Assist with other administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
- **Customer Service**:
- Address and resolve patient inquiries or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide information on diagnostic services, procedures, and preparation instructions.
- Coordinate with medical and technical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and mínimal waiting times.
- **Communication**:
- Relay messages accurately and promptly to the appropriate staff members.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate patient care and services.
- Provide patients with clear instructions on next steps or any required follow-up.
**Qualifications**:
- Bio Science Graduate or equivalent; additional education or certification in Hospital Management / office administration or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical or diagnostic center is **MUST**.
- Proficiency in using office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and medical scheduling/billing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of insurance processes is advantageous.
**Work Environment**:
- Primarily a sedentary role with regular use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- May require standing or walking for brief periods during the day.
- Professional attire and demeanor are expected at all times.
**Working Hours**:
- Full-time, [ e.g., Monday to Saturday, 9 AM - 6 PM].
- Some flexibility may be required for weekend or evening shifts.
