Alumni Engagement Executive

LOCATION: MUMBAI
DESCRIPTION: This role is responsible for devising and implementing Bright Future’s strategy for fostering excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen relationships between Bright Future and its community of alumni to maximize alumni engagement. You will be providing support to the alumni engagement team who act as the first point of contact for all alumni.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the rest point of support for the alumni engagement team as well as any escalation/support with alumni enquiries and ensure that they are dealt with promptly to meet or exceed their needs and expectations.
- To be responsible, in consultation with the Program Head, for developing and implementing Bright Future’s alumni relations strategy.
- Work collaboratively with alumni engagement team as well as Program team
- Proofread copy for alumni communications and create simple communication collaterals without support of the Marcom team
- Provide support to alumni flagship events from planning to execution with support from the alumni engagement team
- Plan guest lectures, seminars, workshops for career exploration and various other capacity building initiatives for alumni in their life and career
- Plan the Alumni engagement budget with support from Program Head and tailor the Alumni engagement program to the available resources and monitoring expenses against that budget
- To oversee liaison between the Alumni engagement team members and others in Bright Future to ensure that there is effective communication with peers as well as senior cross-functional teams on matters relating to alumni events, alumni group activities
- Documentation and reporting to senior management as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Qualifications: Any Bachelor degree is required.
- Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in an alumni relations, program management or similar role which includes delivering strategic events and communications thereof. Experience of working with the social sector and with youth is a plus
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience of devising a strategic plan and leading a team to implementation thereof Event management experience
- Budgetary Management experience
- Team Management experience, including leadership skills to inspire a team, and support and develop individuals
- Experience with conflict resolution
- Good Written and Oral Communication in English and Ability to communicate well in Hindi or Marathi
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed to build relationships and address a variety of stakeholders.
- Public Speaking skills
- Active Listening and Keen Observation
- Research skills (especially in the assigned domain)
- Knowledge of design software is a plus. Comfortable with using Canva, Spark
- Good time management skills with the ability to organize and priorities
- Proactive approach to relationship development with colleagues and stakeholders.
This role has a requirement of 6 days working
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience
