As a Pastry chef you are responsible to take care of the daily cake preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

- Develop at least 10-12 cakes over the period of the next 1 year which should include a variety of flavours that includes fruits, chocolates, nuts and other ingredients.
- He/ She is required to ensure that the daily production target is met.
- Develop seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends.
- Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs.
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Senior chef and also assign task to the Junior pastry chefs.
- Follow the instructions and recommendation from the immediate superior to complete the daily tasks.

- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
- Ensure that all the new developments have a proper recipe, costing sheet and the same has to be reviewed along with the Management and approved before introducing them to the production.
- Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in cake preparation.
- Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to the health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
- Guide and train subordinates on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment.
- Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel and train them.

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of work experience in a busy outlet.
- Must have deep knowledge about baking techniques and should be able to independently develop different cake flavors and pastries.
- Must be able to handle the entire production process from ingredient sourcing to full baking process.

- Working hours should be flexible based on the production schedule
- The Baker & Co is setting up an outlet that specializes in French pastry aiming to serve premium cakes and pastries to customers and for B2B segment.
- The Baker & Co shall offer an excellent kitchen working environment with high standards of quality, hygiene and process to deliver premium french pastry.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
