**Job Summary**:
The Surveyor cum Site Supervisor is responsible for conducting land and building surveys, ensuring that construction activities adhere to design plans, and supervising day-to-day site operations. This dual role ensures both the accuracy of measurements and the smooth progress of construction activities while complying with safety and quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:Surveying Responsibilities**:
- **Land and Site Surveys**:
- Conduct accurate land and topographical surveys for the project, using equipment such as theodolites, GPS, total stations, and levels.
- Verify existing survey data and make necessary adjustments to ensure the precision of the construction plans.
- **Site Layout**:
- Mark and set out construction lines, reference points, and elevations to guide the construction crew.
- Measure and verify the positions, levels, and dimensions of elements on the site to ensure compliance with plans and blueprints.
- **Data Reporting**:
- Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, and maps documenting land features, measurements, and potential construction challenges.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to relay survey results and address any site-related issues.
**Site Supervisory Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision of Site Activities**:
- Oversee the daily operations on-site to ensure the project progresses according to the schedule and specifications.
- Ensure proper execution of construction tasks, including excavation, foundation work, and structural installation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure they follow project timelines and quality standards.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure that materials and construction practices meet quality and safety standards.
- Regularly inspect work completed on-site to verify compliance with designs, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Report any deviations or defects to the project manager and propose corrective actions.
- **Health and Safety Management**:
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure the proper use of safety equipment and that workers comply with safety standards.
- Identify potential safety hazards and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- **Progress Reporting**:
- Track daily progress, report to the project manager, and prepare site reports, including survey updates and site activities.
- Attend site meetings and assist in resolving issues that arise during construction.
- **Resource Management**:
- Ensure that all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available on-site.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and monitor inventory to ensure construction is not delayed.
**Required Qualifications and Skills**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a surveyor and/or site supervisor in construction projects.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, level, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management.
- Familiarity with safety and quality regulations in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and construction drawings.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
**Working Conditions**:
- Outdoor work at construction sites in varying weather conditions.
- May require working overtime, weekends, or extended hours to meet project deadlines.
- Must be able to work in physically demanding environments.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
