**Multipurpose Hospital Worker Responsibilities**
- **Cleaning**: Cleaning wards, floors, sinks, toilets, windows, and walls
- **Patient care**: Preparing patients for tests and operations, providing bedpans and urine pots, and assisting with the collection of urine and stool specimens
- **Patient transportation**: Moving patients between departments or units, and accompanying them when they do so
- **Record keeping**: Maintaining medical case registers and medical histories
- **First aid**: Providing first aid for injuries, accidents, and burns
- **Disease control**: Detecting and controlling disease outbreaks, and participating in disease control programs for malaria, tuberculosis, and leprosy
- **Environmental sanitation**: Ensuring safe drinking water and environmental sanitation
- **Community awareness**: Raising awareness in the community
- **Screening and referral**: Screening patients and referring them to other health workers
- **Contraceptives**: Distributing contraceptives
- **Immunizations**: Participating in immunization programs
- **Reproductive and child health**: Participating in reproductive and child health programs
