(Contractor) Government Relations

Bengaluru Karnataka, India Renesas Electronics Full time

This role works closely with the Government of India, State governments, Industry & Trade Associations (India & US, Japan) and Universities in areas of technology, standards, policy and research.

**_ Duties/Responsibilities:_**
- Researches and monitors government activities that could affect the organizations business and clients.
- Assists senior management and leadership with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies.
- Joins trade associations and industry committees and seeks leadership roles.
- Collaborates with industry advocates to build areas of common interest.
- Testifies before government committees in support of the organization and/or industry.
- Introduces legislative and public policy changes that will support company operations.
- Supports media relations and serve as a spokesperson on issues associated with various government activities.
- Works with universities on relations including research and hiring opportunities.
- Build relationships with university to ensure skill development to ensure pipeline in the talent pool.
- Some domestic travel will be required for this job.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:_**
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/Business Administration/Political Science/Public Relations. Masters/MBA preferred.
- Ten years of experience in advocacy or public policy with a focus on semicondutors
