Your future duties and responsibilities

**Job Description (Skill title)**: SCCM Patching L2 SE
1. Manage and maintain the SCCM patch management infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of patch deployments.
2. Serve as the highest level of escalation for patching-related issues, providing expert-level support and guidance to resolve complex problems that cannot be resolved by L1 or L2 support technicians.
3. Collaborate with other technical teams, such as system administrators, network engineers, and security teams, to evaluate patching requirements and design patching strategies that align with organizational policies and best practices.
4. Plan and schedule regular patching activities, ensuring mínimal impact on production systems and maximum security compliance.
5. Test and validate patches in a lab environment before deploying them to production systems, ensuring compatibility and minimizing the risk of disruptions.
6. knowledge in WSUS administration, configuration, maintenance, support, troubleshooting
7. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation related to SCCM patching processes, including patch deployment schedules, maintenance windows, and rollback procedures.
8. Monitor and analyze patch management metrics and reports, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and recommending and implementing enhancements to optimize patch deployment processes.
9. Conduct patch-related troubleshooting and root cause analysis for failed deployments, collaborating with vendors and other technical teams to identify and resolve underlying issues.
11. Provide guidance and training to L1 and L2 support technicians, assisting in their professional development and knowledge enhancement in SCCM patching.
12. Extensive experience in managing and maintaining patch management using Microsoft SCCM in a large-scale enterprise environment.
13. Expert-level knowledge of SCCM patch management concepts, including patch deployment, software updates, collections, and maintenance windows.
14. Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and WSUS, and their integration with SCCM patch management.
15. In-depth understanding of patch management best practices, vulnerability management frameworks (e.g., CVE, CVSS), and security compliance requirements.
16. Issue remediation for WSUS server setup and testing along with establishing connection with database.
17. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell to streamline patching processes and develop custom reporting solutions.
18. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting patch-related issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex patching-related issues in a timely manner.
20. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
21. Industry certifications related to SCCM and patch management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are highly desirable
