Operations Executive - Shipping and Freight
- Oversee and manage all aspects of Sea Freight operations, including but not limited to LCL and FCL shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and procedures for smooth customs clearance.
- Coordinate and negotiate with shipping lines to secure competitive rates and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Handle and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during the freight forwarding process.
- Maintain a strong network of contacts within the industry to facilitate smooth operations and explore business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance

operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- The operations executive job duties include but are not limited to:

- Ensure effective liaison with agents and coordinated arrangement of shipments
- Negotiate with Forwarder to the lowest best price with comprehensive payment terms.
- Approve bookings for container and freight pick up, and ensure coordination for shipments.
- Take responsibility for the shipment from its origin country until the shipment is delivered to the Warehouse
- Review and sign off shipping documents while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Assist to prepare Authorization letter and send to forwarder together with shipping documents for clearance of the goods from the port.
- Issue Delivery Order by sea and air.
- Seek innovative ways to improve service and cost, which will include both technological and process improvements.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between land, marine, and air operations crews in different locations and provide appropriate support to facilitate operations
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations for all equipment and materials.
- Review and approve and follow up the documents, processes and controls of freight payment and audit system and ensure all documents, processes and controls are updated.
- Support the supply chain process through planning, on line allocation, pick release and invoicing to ensure customer’s requirements are met.
- Manage archiving of completed shipment files and maintain record keeping.**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of experience in operations in a shipping, logistics or freight forwarding company.
- Full knowledge of supply chain processes and operations
- Full knowledge of customS regulations.
- Good Knowledge of shipping services/ products, terms and practices
- Good communication skill with good command over written and spoken English
- Intensive IT skills and ability to manage and organize amounts of complex data
- Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Highly motivated and target driven.

**Responsibilities**:
Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Sea Freight operations and customs clearance, preferably in a freight forwarding company.
- Strong network and contacts within shipping lines and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of LCL and FCL shipments, including container loading and consolidation.
- Proficiency in using freight management systems and software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and partners.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Panvel, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
