- The Incumbent will ne expected to travel throughout India to fulfill their duties with the Four Consulates, Consular Agencies, three American corners and other USG offices in India. S/he is expected to travel 20-30% of the time.

Duties

**Basic Function of the Position**: This position is located in the Facilities Office (FAC). The incumbent will serve as the Mission New Delhi Safety Program Coordinator with responsibility for assisting the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) in carrying out the day to day functions of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (SHEM) and Fire Protection Division(FIRE) programs at post, government-owned and leased properties in New Delhi and Consular Agencies served at post. S/he will report directly to the New Delhi post Occupational Safety and Health Officer which is Sr. Facility Manager at Post.

S/he provides oversight of SHEM and FIRE safety programs at Mission New Delhi's four Consulates and Americans Corners. S/he will provide oversight of Safety Program Coordinators located in Mission New Delhi's four Consulates. S/he will perform annual visits to each Consulate and Consular agency to evaluate and conduct analysis of Mission mishaps and safety programs and makes recommendations for improvement. S/he will preform inspection of independent USG offices under Chief of Mission Authority located across New Delhi as required. S/he is responsible for developing and implementing new safety programs and initiatives in Mission New Delhi. S/he will organize and lead organizational and programmatic planning sessions with Mission Safety Program Coordinators. S/he will participate in SHEM's regional Specialized POSHO Assistant Program as required. S/he must be able to lift 50 lbs. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Evaluations

**Requirements**:
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:Three years of experience in industrial or environmental management or occupational safety or construction supervision.

**Education Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Environmental Engineering or Construction Engineering or Architecture or Facility Management or an Occupational Health and Safety.

**Evaluations**:
**LANGUAGE REQUIRED**:
Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. English language may be tested.

AND

Good Working Knowledge in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:Valid Indian/International Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is required.**
