Our business is growing and an exciting new role has arisen for a movitated and adaptable leader within the Data Operations (DataOps) Pricing function as **‘Specialised Pricing Operations Lead’**.

This role will be based in the GSC, Bangalore, India.

DataOps is a function within Data & Regulatory Reporting (DaRR) and responsible for multiple data domains: Accounts, SSI, Instrument, Instrument Ratings, Calendar, Pricing, EOD Derived Pricing, Legal Documentation, Books & Hierarchies. The 9 data domains form one single “Ref Data Utility” named DataOps aligned to the wider Rubix (Ops 2025) utility strategy. DataOps services Markets and Securities Services as well as other Group Divisions including Wholesale and Private Bank. The consolidation is expected to expedite data quality improvements and associated cost reductions via digitalisation through the end-to-end value streams.

**The Opportunity**:
The role of **Specialised Pricing Operations Lead** comprises the following key areas of responsibility:

- Delivery of our specialised Pricing activities including Derived Pricing data, related Market Data and broader Asset Pricing to the range of HSBC consumer businesses. The Pricing function is a high risk function executed within very short turnaround times supported by a globally distributed operating model requiring strong controls.
- Delivery of an improving and effective Pricing service across the range of Derived, Market and Asset Pricing data. The Lead will work closely with DataOps management teams, Pricing teams globally, consumers and external parties to determine the specialised pricing data to be delivered.
- Significantly the Lead will drive both internal DataOps Pricing quality and enhanced Pricing Data to our consumers.
- Market data and Derived Pricing supply to our Global Markets business is a primary flow and responsibility for this role. There are multi-year programmes and demands for servicing from FO Trade Support, Global Markets Operations, Product Control and Traded Risk.
- Responsibility for establishing a robust, comprehensive, transparent and understandable, controlled environment to deliver Specialised Pricing data within the activities supported by DataOps.

**Goals **for the role of **Specialised Pricing Operations Lead**:

- **Development and maintenance **of** **a strategic Specialised Pricing data service.****:

- **Understand and improve the business control requirements** for Specialised Pricing data, incorporating latest regulatory texts and guidance.
- **Deliver effective control and governance standards** for Specialised Pricing data and ongoing maintenance of the DataOps control framework related to global Pricing activities.
- **Deliver analysis and expertise on **Specialised Pricing Data, including high quality key performance, risk and control indicators, and technical knowledge across market data, derived and global Pricing to DataOps analysts, management and consumers.
- **Maximise usage and quality** of in scope market and Pricing data
- **Elaborate on the** **engagement model with internal and external suppliers**, to improve their build out of capabilities across the Specialised Pricing Operations.

**Leadership and Teamwork**
- Provide strong leadership for the Specialised Pricing Operations service, working closely with functional managers for those processes.
Operate as a member of the global Pricing management team contributing to the growth and development of our strategy towards success.

**Operational Effectiveness and Control**:

- Adhere to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to normal controls
- Continually assess the operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology
- Manage the risks inherent within Pricing data, focusing on reducing errors and losses, and execute within very short turnaround times to strict SLAs to external customers.
- Ensure satisfactory audit ratings and control reviews.
- Compliance with all regulatory change impacting processes.
