**About the Job**

RM Resources is a multi-channel provider with an annual turnover of approximately £120m. It specializes in curriculum and educational resources for schools and nurseries, with a strong presence both in the UK and internationally. We are comprised of multiple brands with our leading identities being TTS and Consortium. Leading the UK educational resources industry in size, innovation, and teaching expertise, we sell 59,000 products, of which 3,500 are our own designed products. As we move to be an increasingly digitally focused business, where over half of our UK orders being submitted online, we focus on our operational efficiency, progressing supplier and product rationalization and expanding internationally to ensure our continued success in a highly competitive environment.

**Working Context**

The primary focus of the supply planning team is to ensure inventory is optimized (out of stocks and excess stock situations are minimized and stock availability meets business service level targets).
The Team has a responsibility for providing management information and performance reports to the business.

RMR has 35-40K items across its 2 main brands, TTS, and Consortium.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure good stock availability to meet the company’s service level targets (at least 95% weighted availability), by helping to minimise stock outs and overstocks through effective supply planning.
- Reassess safety stock requirements once per quarter to achieve optimum stock levels; in accordance with the inventory policy and other business constraints e,g warehouse capacity.
- Maintain Planning system attributes and parameters to achieve purchasing objectives.
- Advise the best planning strategies (Economic ordering, use of MOVs, Supplier holidays etc) to the management team.
- Assess POs to be placed by the business and challenge them as necessary before their approval and final authorisation.
- Assess which items should be purchased and which should be transferred between sites, in accordance with optimising the dual warehouse supply chain model.
Calculate the quantities to be transferred between sites every fortnight or each month (in line with the agreed cycle).
- Generate monthly warehouse stock and inbound/spend projections for the business.
Provide an accurate view of this to the warehouse ops team for their planning purposes and Finance for cash management.
- Contribute to the S&OP process (after the consensus stage) by converting signed off demand forecasts into invoiced revenue projections for the year to go.
- Maintain process documentation and training materials where required.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- 1-3 years of overall industry experience in similar role

**Mandatory Skills**
- Good knowledge about Inventory management.
- Experience of working with large volumes of data.
- Experience with Statistical background.
- Experience with ERP (preferably D365) and planning tools
- Purchasing knowledge within a Consumer goods environment.
- Knowledge of forecasting algorithms such as Standard Moving Average, Double Exponential Smoothing, Bayesian Forecasting Method.
- Knowledge in Advance Excel.
- Knowledge of Databases and SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Planning and Organization skills.
- Detail orientation.

**Desired Skills**
- Experience with Purchasing knowledge
- Experience in Multi-channel forecasting.
- Knowledge of forecasting parameters and their effects on the forecast
- Knowledge of forecasting performance measures such as MAD or MAPE.
- Numerate with an analytical approach and sound commercial awareness.

**Qualifications/Certifications**
- Any graduate/post-graduate
