Printing Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise and oversee the printing operations in a packaging facility that specializes in customized packaging, including punching, embossing, pasting, foil stamping, and hot-stamping of holograms on cartons.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize printing tasks to ensure efficient production schedules and meet customer requirements.
- Train, mentor, and supervise printing staff, providing guidance and feedback on printing techniques, equipment operation, and quality control measures.
- Monitor and maintain printing equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as design, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of printing tasks.
- Perform quality checks on printed cartons to ensure adherence to specifications, including color accuracy, registration, and print quality.
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for printing staff and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain production records, including job orders, production reports, and inspection records, and provide timely reports to management as required.
- Identify and address any printing-related issues or concerns, such as equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality deviations, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest printing technologies, techniques, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements or equipment upgrades.

Job Requirements:

- 12th passed, ITI, diploma or equivalent, with a vocational or technical certification in printing or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in printing operations, preferably in a packaging industry involved in customized packaging with punching, embossing, pasting, foil stamping, and hot-stamping of holograms on cartons.
- Strong knowledge of printing techniques, including offset printing, embossing, foil stamping, and hot-stamping, and experience with printing equipment and tools used in the packaging industry.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, production specifications, and technical drawings accurately.
- Understanding of printing parameters, such as color management, registration, and print quality, and the ability to adjust them as needed to ensure optimal printing results.
- Proficient in operating printing equipment, including printing presses, embossing machines, and foil stamping machines, and troubleshooting operational issues.
- Knowledge of quality control measures and ability to perform visual inspections to ensure printing quality and adherence to specifications.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in printing operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor printing staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
