**Role Purpose**

The UAT Tester will carry out testing across all products and websites. Working closely with internal and external teams, the UAT Tester will ensure a world class experience is delivered to the customer at the point of release. The UAT Tester will work on a multitude of projects and BAU work streams, as per the testing schedule prioritised by the Product and Delivery team.On a daily basis the UAT Tester’s responsibilities are to make sure that post delivery testing is well defined, planned and executed by ensuring that every phased and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issues are identifies and fixed before the product goes live to customers or the business. You will be responsible for raising quality defects and ensuring these are well understood and clearly explained.The UAT Tester will adhere to the testing processes put in place by the Head of UAT, ensuring the timely delivery of the releases across the business. On a day to day basis, you will work on following a delivery process that involves liaising and organising various deliverables for the production to be ready.***

**Key Responsibilities**

Execute test plans and scenarios for all products and websites in line with the development and roadmap schedules, provided by the Product team, in order to provide a smooth path to live for the products under test- Document all instances of testing defects and provide timely reporting for the business to make an informed decision on future changes- Ensure defects are well written including detailed steps, expected and actual results and provide videos and screenshots where possible- Create and implement tests to cover use of promotions and marketing materials to ensure key customer journeys are not affected- Create, implement and maintain test data based on assigned projects and ensure test data is ready prior to testing where possible- Create and execute all test scripts ensuring agreed coverage is met and provide execution reports when needed by the business- Log, report and monitor progress on all defect fixes including daily, weekly or monthly reports to the key stake holders as per the business needs in order to achieve transparency and progress on tasks- Provide management reports on the progress of all testing, including defect fixes to various stakeholders in order for business to make informed decisions on future changes- Build and maintain strong and clear communications, both face to face and in writing, with the development teams to ensure timely turnaround of all defects- Ensure test cases are up to date in order to have robust test execution and consistent with the products and are therefore fit for purpose- Work with the product team to ensure that test plans are agreed upon and signed off, at all times by attending daily or weekly meetings and updating tickets on internal systems as an when needed- Contribute towards innovative, effective, and efficient manual testing practices and solutions to achieve speed of delivery to market with increased quality products-
- Identify test scenarios by working with development and incident teams and implement them in a timely and agreed manner- Provide estimations where needed to ensure the business is provided with an expected completion date for project and BAU activities- Collate data in relation to estimation versus actual completion time and use this data to drive more accurate estimations for the business going forward- Ensure product test scripts are meeting compliance requirements and keep the scripts up-to-date at all times so that no compliance issues are seen post-production- Meet deadlines by ensuring testing activities are completed on times as agreed with the business and escalate any issues if deadlines cannot be met- Communicate test progress, test results, and all relevant information to project stakeholders and management on a frequency as agreed with the business- Escalate and follow up all defects raised during testing to relevant parties and make sure fixes are reviewed and accepted- Support investigation of defects when needed**Specialist Skills and Experience Required**:
