Continental Chef

Continental Chef /Sous chef manage a staff of assistant chefs, cooks and kitchen staff, as well as creating dishes for the assigned one menu specialty in which he or she excels. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations.
**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
2. Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
3. Cook food in a timely manner.
4. Ensure appealing plate presentation.
5. Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
6. Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests
7. Monitor food stock and place orders.
8. Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
9. Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
11. HACCP or equivalent standards to maintain the highest level of Hygiene.
12. To assure conformance to all food production standards and specifications set by the executive chef to control usage and eliminate wastage with a view to minimizing food costs.
13. You will also be involved in planning of seasonal dishes and specials in addition to our established menu
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
