Job Title: Junior Psychologist

Location: A4 Hospital Fertility Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nādu

Position Overview:
As a Junior Psychologist at A4 Hospital's Fertility Centre, you will play a vital role in providing psychological support and counseling services to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to address the emotional and psychological aspects of infertility, promote coping strategies, and facilitate positive outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Psychological Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients undergoing fertility treatment to evaluate their emotional well-being, coping mechanisms, and support needs.

Administer standardized psychological tests and questionnaires to assess psychological factors related to infertility, such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

Counseling and Support:
Provide individual and couples counseling to address psychological concerns related to infertility, pregnancy loss, and assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

Offer emotional support, coping strategies, and stress management techniques to help patients navigate the challenges of fertility treatment.

Facilitate support groups and educational workshops for patients and their partners to share experiences and gain mutual support.

Collaboration and Consultation:
Collaborate with fertility specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate psychological care into the overall treatment plan.

Consult with medical team members to address psychological factors that may impact fertility outcomes and treatment adherence.

Provide guidance and education to staff members on psychosocial issues related to infertility and patient care.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Prepare reports and summaries of psychological evaluations and treatment outcomes for inclusion in patients' medical records.

Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in reproductive medicine, women's health, or mental health.

Knowledge of infertility and reproductive health issues, including the psychological impact of fertility treatment.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse patient populations.

Compassion, empathy, and sensitivity to the emotional needs of individuals and couples facing infertility challenges.
