**Job Title: Tandoor Commi 1 (Tandoor Chef de Partie 1)**
**Responsibilities**:
- **Tandoor Cooking**: Proficient in the art of Tandoor cooking, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Tandoori dishes, such as bread (naan, roti) and marinated meats (kebabs, tikkas).
- **Menu Execution**: Follow recipes and ensure the accurate execution of Tandoor dishes according to the restaurant's standards, maintaining quality and consistency.
- **Food Safety and Hygiene**: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards in the handling, preparation, and cooking of food items to ensure a safe dining experience for customers.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of Tandoor equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and reporting any issues to the kitchen supervisor or chef.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in the monitoring of Tandoor-related ingredients and supplies, notifying the chef or kitchen manager when supplies need replenishing.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct regular quality control checks on Tandoor dishes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- **Training**: Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Tandoor cooking techniques and recipes.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, adapting to changing situations and demands.
**Requirements**:
- **Culinary Education**: A culinary degree or relevant culinary training is preferred.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or similar role, with a focus on Tandoor cooking techniques.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of Tandoor cooking methods, Indian cuisine, and culinary techniques.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy kitchen equipment, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- **Team Player**: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- **Attention to Detail**: Precision in following recipes and ensuring the consistency and quality of Tandoor dishes.
- **Creativity**: Ability to contribute to menu development and introduce new Tandoor dishes.
- **Food Safety Certification**: Knowledge of and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Possession of relevant certifications is a plus.
