Position: Procurement Manager - Buyer, Retail and Brand
Location : Bangalore

Job Role :

At Xiaomi, as a procurement manager your responsibilities would involve managing the procurement process for a buyer or retail brand, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will be reporting to senior manager.
Job Duties:

  • Looking for a strong and dynamic candidate to Handle Brand marketing and Retail Marketing procurements area as per business requirements
  • Vendor identification, evaluation, Negotiation and contract closure for Retail and Brand Marketing
  • Vendor Management and vendor performance evaluation
  • Having in-depth vendor and product Knowledge in Brand & Retail Marketing segments
  • Retails Marketing segments such as Signage (GSB/ISB), POSM, Promotional products, Gifting articles, Furniture and fixture units, Events , Activations ,Promoters Agency , VM Agencies Vendor Management and cost closure as per business requirement .
  • Brand Marketing segments such as Brand Management, Brand Communication, Brand Campaigns ATL, BTL, OOH, Marketing Budgets Advertising, Digital Marketing, Creative Agencies, Production Agencies, PR Agencies, Celebrity, Influencer Agencies Vendor Management and cost closure as per business requirement
  • Budget Management and Budget Utilization
  • Ability to handle PAN India requirements
  • Price Competitiveness through market benchmarking and scientific analysis
  • Participating various business meeting with user department, Audit committee and Management review meetings
  • Knowledge & experience for cost closure through E-bidding platform is an added advantage
  • Aid the development of Annual Objectives and enablers. Support in bottom up target setting.
  • Identify and resolve challenges of sourcing through market making and build strong alternative bases. long term contracting & supply security for key spend areas.
  • Develop process of identifying and onboarding new vendors based on their capability and infrastructure
  • Standardization of commercials and build strong Risk Identification & mitigation plan.
  • Act as a custodian of Budget and spends management. Drive cost Improvement Initiatives.
  • Lead and implement a performance culture in aligned Procurement area's activities across multiple spend categories working in partnership with Business heads and Category Leads.
  • Develop and maintain a strong supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
  • Create Good Pool of Local suppliers at Regional / State level and Improve the GTM days
  • Work closely with Internal / external customers to drive efficiencies and transformation projects.
  • IT Digitization - Define IT framework for end to end automation coverage.
  • Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on supply.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, In-depth knowledge of sourcing, cost & ROI management and pricing methodology.


Desired Candidate profile :
  • Handle complex adhoc request with a short turnaround time and supplement such request with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making
  • Proactive in reviewing financial information, identifying exception / inconsistencies, initiate action and follow-up for logical closure.
  • Tracking of performance against set targets and provide periodical updates to business
  • Builds high performing teams and develops / grows people managers
  • Helps individuals achieve more by constantly raise expectations and providing relevant support
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to achieve results in a fast pace and rapid growth environment characterized by dynamism and ambiguity.
  • Develop deep understanding of business drivers and leverage that to create views for creating actionable plans
  • Negotiation and sales techniques - Procurement mgt. tools and solutions on the market (e-sourcing, etc.)
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
  • Ability to connect with people across teams & levels

Qualification - MBA / BE / CA / ICWA / B.Com / M.com tier-1 institute preferred
Experience - 12+ years
Full time or Part time - Full Time
Skills: Knowledge of Smart phone, Distribution Channel , Retail & consumer goods industry is a plus
Travel - Partially.
