You will be working as R&D Architect at global grade 12 and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Project Manager and will be responsible for providing technical support to regional teams & local units and ensuring availability of support and training material for relevant resources in R&D, support, engineering, marketing & sales as required.

Your responsibilities

  • Identifying, evaluating, and executing R&D plans for digital portfolio within PI digital business line for global process industries customers
  • Providing technical leadership to the team as a senior technology expert
  • Working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other resources and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
  • Responsible for leading, developing and coaching the local development team
  • Initiating and sustaining sharing of best practices and standardized technical solutions within PA-PI as well as with other Business Lines in ABB
  • Working with product portfolio managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects, digital project implementation
Your background

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
  • At least 12 years of experience with designing Software Architecture
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies - full stack including C#, .Net, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, Angular/reacjtjs
  • Expertise in Web technologies and Azure
  • Expertise in architectural tools like Enterprise Architect
  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to influence both internally and externally
