  • The Software QA Manager reports to the Head of Application Development and primary responsibilities are to Develop and drive a QA strategy, as well as takes a hands-on approach to implementing the strategy

Responsibilities

  • Manage team working on our software features across our products.
  • Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable QA processes and procedures to provide more effective quality methods within the group in support of providing quality products.
  • Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software model systems to ensure compliance with software models specifications.
  • Gather requirements, Resource planning, Risk identification and mitigation etc.
  • Develop software model quality test plans and test cases, and lead in setting and maintaining the standards for Software Quality Assurance test documentation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans to ensure software features requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process.
  • Identify areas for test improvement through analysis, experience and use of metrics.
  • Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.
  • Coach and develop peers and subordinates on the QA process, best practices and provide guidance needed
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the execution of the work assignments for the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Ensure that the project schedule is adhered to and the work is completed according to the schedule.
  • Conduct Gap analysis and Resolution for Test Coverage and Test efficiency based on feedback.
  • Addressing queries from Product Management and Client Services team s regarding our software products.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working in an Agile methodology environment Scrum or Kanban would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with Software Lifecycle tool JIRA would be an advantage
  • Internal and external client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated management capability
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and be able to independently and jointly develop desired solutions
