R&D Project Manager

• Developing or creating products, systems, services or technologies for ABB´s Business Units by leading and managing the execution of one or more R&D projects to meet project targets.
• Coordinating work of local and cross-functional project teams. Leading in partnership with Local/Global business managers, steering groups, product management and external parties and ensuring value creation.
• Serving as the key contact for the project stakeholders. Effectively communicating appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support.
• Managing the project team allocated to the project, defining, with key stakeholders, the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule and detailed work allocation
• Developing a comprehensive testing plan outlining objectives, scope, timeline and resources. Identifying potential risks associated with type testing and develop mitigation strategies. Analyzing testing data and compile reports summarizing findings, issues, and recommendations. Our team dynamics You will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive. Qualifications for the role You are immersed in R&D Project Management function in switchgear industry You have 10 to 15 years of experience in project planning, product cost calculation, project budgeting & forecasting, overseeing the timely completion of various projects, planning typetesting, analyzing the failures in typetesting & cross functional collaboration Possess an basic knowledge of CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks) Degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering You are at ease communicating in English More about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
