Job Description -
Position Purpose – The Deputy Manager/Manager (Pharma & Lifesciences) is responsible for supervising and guiding a team dedicated to the management of end-to-end pharmaceutical recruitment. This includes ownership and facilitation of the entire recruitment process, from accurately understanding job requirements from clients to ensuring candidate engagement through the onboarding process
This role will work closely with relevant stakeholders while contributing to the long-term goals of the organization.
Ultimately, the Pharma Recruitment Manager will manage the recruitment process to ensure we shortlist and provide highly qualified candidates to meet our pharmaceutical clients' hiring needs. A data-driven approach will be employed, with strategies based on insights from data collected and analyzed.
Supervisory and Guidance Responsibilities:
This position may guide and supervise from 01 to a maximum of 20 recruiters.
General Responsibilities –
Client & Mandate Management:
- Manage hiring mandates for pharmaceutical clients across various functions, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and sales & marketing.
- Develop recruitment strategies tailored to the unique needs of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical and life sciences clients to ensure successful talent acquisition.
- Ensure delivery on key client hiring needs within defined timelines.
Team Management & Performance:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of pharma-focused recruiters.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide necessary training to enhance the team's recruitment capabilities.
- Take full ownership of every team member's revenue portfolio by driving them to meet or exceed set revenue targets based on their role and designation.
Sourcing & Talent Acquisition:
- Oversee sourcing of pharmaceutical professionals across various domains such as drug development, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs.
- Ensure compliance with industry hiring regulations and best practices.
- Manage candidate screening, interviews, and selection processes to ensure high-quality placements.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Optimize recruitment processes for efficiency and quality in pharma hiring.
- Provide regular reports on hiring progress, challenges, and industry trends.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical hiring trends and best practices to continuously refine recruitment strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical recruitment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in hiring for pharmaceutical and life sciences roles.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and develop a team of pharma recruiters.
- Client Management: Strong experience in handling pharmaceutical recruitment mandates and client relationships
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruitment tools.
