Purpose of the role:
More Retail is expanding its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) business vertical, More Cafe, to cater to the snacking needs of customers and passersby across its extensive store network. This initiative is designed to enhance customer experience while driving incremental sales and profitability. With the concept already performing well, we aim to scale the business quickly to a majority of our ~800 stores.
As the

Business Head - More Cafe , you will lead this high-growth business vertical, driving expansion, profitability, and operational excellence. You will oversee business strategy, P&L management, and operational execution, ensuring seamless integration with More Retail's broader store network.

Principal Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth and P&L Management
Own the business P&L and drive sustainable growth and profitability.
Develop and execute expansion strategies to achieve to cover our entire network.
Identify and implement innovative revenue streams and operational efficiencies.
Work with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute expansion strategy.
2. Operations & Process Management
Set up robust processes to manage a distributed business across multiple states.
Develop SOPs to ensure consistency in service, quality, and operations.
Work closely with store operations teams to drive seamless integration of More Cafe with existing store formats.
Ensure availability of supplies and timely maintenance of equipment in coordination with vendors.
3. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead and manage a team of up to 10 cluster managers responsible for on-ground operations.
Establish performance benchmarks, review key metrics, and drive accountability.
Provide training and upskilling opportunities for the team to enhance efficiency and service standards.
4. Innovation & New Product Development
Drive new product introductions and menu innovations aligned with customer preferences and market trends.
Collaborate with suppliers and R&D teams to develop and launch new concepts.
Test and scale successful pilots to optimize product offerings and enhance customer experience.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Monitor key input metrics such as hygiene, stock audits, food safety, and SOP adherence.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure food safety compliance.
Investigate and rectify outliers related to yield, sales, and operational discrepancies.

Knowledge / Education
Experience:

5-10 years of experience in food services, QSR, or a similar domain.
Leadership:

Proven experience in leading distributed teams and managing multi-state operations / large number of outlets.
P&L Management:

Strong acumen in financial performance, revenue generation, and cost control.
Operational Excellence:

Expertise in setting up and streamlining operational processes.
Innovation:

Experience in new product development, customer experience enhancement, and menu innovation.
Stakeholder Management:

Ability to collaborate with internal teams (store operations, procurement, finance) and external vendors.
Data-Driven Decision Making:

Analytical skills to track performance metrics, optimize operations, and drive profitability.
Problem-Solving:

Ability to proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
