We are seeking an experienced and creative
Head of Video & Podcast Production
to lead and manage the production of engaging multimedia content for schools. This role involves overseeing video production, podcast creation, and digital storytelling to enhance learning experiences, communicate school initiatives, and drive engagement within the educational community.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive multimedia strategy aligned with the school's communication and educational objectives.
Video & Podcast Production:
Oversee the end-to-end production process, from concept development to post-production, ensuring high-quality educational and promotional content.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of School Media SPOC, student editors & content creators, videographers, and editors, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Director-Academic Operations, Educators, and colleagues in the academic initiatives department, marketing teams, and school media team to create compelling and impactful multimedia content.
Editing & Post-Production:
Oversee editing, sound mixing, and overall content refinement to maintain high production standards.
Distribution & Promotion:
Develop strategies for publishing and promoting videos and podcasts across various platforms, including school websites, YouTube, Spotify, and social media.
Analytics & Improvement:
Track engagement metrics, gather feedback, and continuously improve content quality and effectiveness. Data management, data gathering & preparing various MISs.
Budgeting & Resource Management:
Manage budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and allocate resources effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in video production, podcast creation, and multimedia storytelling, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.
Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and audio editing tools (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools).
Experience in scriptwriting, directing, and storytelling for educational content.
Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing strategies for multimedia content distribution.
Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video and podcast production.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
