About Monk Commerce:
We're a lean, high-performing team of 20, passionate about creating innovative software products from India for a global audience. As a Frontend Team Lead, you'll be a crucial part of our central engine, driving our frontend development and shaping the future of our platform.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and guide a small team of 5-6 frontend engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Design, architect, develop and deploy robust and scalable frontend solutions.
Establish and enforce best practices and guidelines for frontend development, conducting thorough code reviews to ensure high quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
Collaborate closely with the backend team.
Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the frontend platform.
Proactively identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks.
Champion a culture of code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
3-5 years of proven experience in frontend development.
Strong proficiency in React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience with configuring bundlers like Webpack and Rollup.
Experience with static site deployment, CDN configuration (high availability, caching).
Experience leading or mentoring junior developers is a plus.
A strong understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
A passion for building high-quality, user-centric products.
An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
A preference for remote work and a distaste for corporate bureaucracy.
