About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) for a variety of UAV applications. The role involves leading the PCB design process, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and manufacturable designs while working closely with other engineering teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for driving design best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
Designed and developed PCB layouts for UAV systems and OEM microchip technologies, ensuring high reliability and adherence to industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and manufacturing partners to define PCB design requirements and deliverables.
Develop sophisticated circuit layouts that incorporate interfaces such as UART, CAN, and Ethernet.
Conduct electronic testing and validation to ensure performance specifications are met.
Manage documentation throughout the design process and maintain accurate design files and BOMs.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in PCB design.
Provide technical support for PCB fabrication and assembly, as well as troubleshooting issues during production and deployment phases.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years experience in PCB design and development, with a strong portfolio of past projects involving UAVs and/or OEM applications.
Proficient in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Eagle, Ki-Cad or similar.
In-depth knowledge of communication protocols and components including UART, CAN, and Ethernet.
Experience with high-speed digital and analogue circuit design.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced certification in PCB design.
Experience with RF circuitry and wireless systems is a plus.
Familiarity with compliance and safety standards in electronics design
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
