Accounts Coordinator

SoHoWines is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Coordinator with hands-on ecommerce experience to join our finance team immediately. This role is critical for managing our day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the financial strategies of our rapidly growing ecommerce platform. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of adapting to the fast-paced dynamics of the ecommerce landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations Management:
Process daily financial transactions including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation.
Ecommerce-Specific Duties:
Oversee financial transactions related to online sales, including refunds, chargebacks, and discounts.
Collaborate with the ecommerce team to track and analyze sales data, ensuring that financial records align with ecommerce activities.
Implement and manage accounting processes that cater to the unique requirements of an online retail environment.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Assist in the preparation of financial audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Maintain up-to-date records in our accounting systems and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Vendor & Customer Coordination:
Manage accounts payable and receivable by processing vendor invoices and customer payments efficiently.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner, liaising with both vendors and customers when necessary.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (ecommerce, marketing, operations) to streamline financial processes and support strategic initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the financial operations framework.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background:
A relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within an ecommerce or retail environment.
Proven track record of managing financial operations in an online sales context.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in MS Excel.
Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and related financial management tools.
Analytical & Organizational Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic work setting.
Other Requirements:
Immediate availability to join the team.
A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new financial systems and ecommerce trends.
