Front-end Product Owner, Private Markets

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Team: Join our dynamic and collaborative Private Markets Product Development team at S&P Global Market Intelligence. The Private Markets Product team focuses on delivering differentiated solutions to build a holistic view for users investing, raising/managing capital, or providing advisory/underwriting services in the Private Markets space. As part of this close-knit team, you'll have direct support from experienced senior members to foster your professional growth and the opportunity to analyze data and product gaps, collaborate cross-functionally and play an integral part in shaping our product roadmap and strategy. The Impact: In this role as a Product Owner, you will play a key role in driving the development of innovative products and enhancements on S&P Global Market Intelligence's flagship desktop product, Capital IQ Pro, for our Private Markets clients. Your responsibilities will include: Managing high-profile projects within an agile framework, Collaborating with your scrum team as well as with cross-functional teams to align the product vision with client needs. Ensuring timely execution of strategic and client-driven initiatives and enhancements. Analyzing client feedback to facilitate backlog prioritization and aligning product development with evolving demands of our Private Market clients. Key Responsibilities: Product Management Expertise: Strong understanding of developing front-end web-based applications within an agile framework. Product Vision & Strategy: Partner with data and product feature owners to define requirements, user stories, and priorities aligned with business goals and client needs. Collaborative Development: Collaborate effectively with team members within the scrum team as well as across technology, data, UI/UX, and product/business development teams to drive product development goals. Client-Centric Design: Design intuitive desktop features and workflows that directly address client requirements and enhance user experience. User Stories Creation: Write clear and concise user stories that capture functional requirements and acceptance criteria for the scrum team Ensure Product Quality: Actively participate in QA efforts, considering both technical specifications and client perspectives. Go-to-Market Support: Provide support for internal and external go-to-market activities associated with each product release, ensuring a successful launch. Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze usage patterns and client feedback to align product backlog with product gaps and client needs Scrum Team Engagement & Visibility: Partner with the scrum team to create release plans and ensure clear visibility into project progress and health for Product Managers and leadership Minimum Requirements Strong knowledge of Private Markets and the competitive landscape Digital product design sensibility with a focus on user experience 5+ years of experience in the financial service industry Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering or advanced degree preferred Hands-on expertise in successful product management functions Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes (Experience as a Product Owner/Scrum Master is a plus) Experience in developing and/or supporting financial market data services products from concept to commercialization, including understanding and gathering client product requirements Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills in a matrixed environment About S&P Global Market Intelligence At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
