About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bio Diesel Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory operations at our BUDGE BUDGE REFINERIES LTD bio diesel oil plant in West Bengal, India.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality testing of inward chemicals, feedstock, process & finished products, maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing training to staff on quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Daily Laboratory Operations: Oversee daily laboratory tasks, including sampling and testing of incoming and finished products, ensuring accuracy and precision of all data leaving the lab.
  • Analyze Data: Analyze, record, and effectively communicate data gathered from testing, providing feedback to staff on lab results in a timely manner.
  • Lab Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled lab equipment maintenance and calibration, troubleshooting instrumentation as needed.
  • Staff Training: Assist the Lab Manager with operator training in proper field sampling and testing techniques, ensuring operator-generated data is accurate and precise.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean work environment to meet high standards of hygiene and quality.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc. in Chemistry or a related degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing-related industry, particularly in Bio-Diesel or chemical lab, is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for this role.
  • Independence and Organization: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Computer Skills: Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, are required.
