Assistant Manager – Purchase Location:  Nagpur (Preferred candidate from Pune or experienced in Bhosari / Chakan area) Company:  GMG Technotrades Pvt Ltd Industry:  Manufacturing (Metal Parts Machining, Aluminum Die Casting, Surface Coating) About the Role We are looking for an experienced  Assistant Manager - Purchase to join our team in Nagpur.
This new position demands a skilled procurement professional with strong sourcing and supplier management expertise focused on manufacturing sectors such as metal parts machining, aluminum die casting, and surface coating.
Key Responsibilities Identify, select, and qualify suppliers; negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor and report supplier quality performance including PPM, on-time delivery, and NCRs.
Define and implement supplier quality requirements and conduct audits (ISO, process, capability).
Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor turnover, and prevent stockouts; track orders and delivery timelines.
Maintain strong supplier relationships with regular supplier reviews and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Ensure all purchasing complies with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
Candidate Profile Education: Diploma in Engineering / BE / BTech Experience: 12 to 20 years in sourcing and procurement, preferably in manufacturing environments.
Competencies Required Expertise sourcing commodities like sheet metal fabrication, rubber, plastics, casting, forging, machining, proprietary parts, and fasteners.
Skilled in negotiation, communication, and analysis.
Familiarity with technical drawings, GD& T, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, extrusion, molding, casting).
Proficient with SAP and MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of quality systems, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools.
Behavioral Competencies Advanced attention to detail, accountability, communication, and ethical judgment.
Intermediate resilience and adaptability.
