
Social Media Manager

This role will oversee strategy, execution, and performance across multiple social and community platforms, as well as coordinate online events, influencer collaborations, and cross-channel campaigns.
The ideal candidate is a creative strategist and hands-on executor with strong leadership skills, an eye for detail, and a proven track record of managing multi-platform growth that drives engagement, brand affinity, and conversions.
This is a startup-scale role — you will need to move fast, inspire a diverse team, and integrate social media with our broader content, SEO, and lifecycle marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of social media specialists, content creators, designers, editors, and community managers.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and speed while aligning everyone toward shared growth goals.
Content Strategy & Planning: Develop a 12-month organic and social growth roadmap , breaking it down into agile monthly content calendars.
Define and maintain editorial pillars (e.g., pain relief & mobility, strength & flexibility, habit-building, women's health).
Ensure a " record once, publish everywhere " approach to repurposing video and community content across platforms.
Platform Management: Oversee daily content publishing and engagement across Instagram, You Tube (+Shorts), Tik Tok, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, and Facebook/Groups.
Monitor community conversations, respond to comments, and escalate support needs quickly.
Campaign & Community Management: Plan, launch, and analyze campaigns, influencer activations, UGC programs, and live events (IG Lives, You Tube Lives, Reddit AMAs).
Partner with Content/SEO to transform videos into optimized blog posts, Pinterest boards, and other evergreen formats.
Performance Tracking & Optimization: Define and track KPIs across platforms (engagement rate, watch time, saves, CTR, conversions).
Analyze results weekly; run experiments on hooks, thumbnails, formats, and posting times.
Own the analytics dashboard and performance reporting for leadership.
Brand Consistency & Governance: Ensure all social content aligns with our brand voice, values, and visual identity.
Maintain cultural authenticity and respect for yoga's roots in all campaigns.
Establish guidelines for compliance, claims, and community moderation.
Trendspotting & Innovation: Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm shifts, and emerging content formats.
Bring fresh ideas for formats, series, and collaborations that align with growth goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, content, performance, product, and teacher operations to ensure social initiatives are integrated with broader company objectives.
Coordinate regularly with the US team, including evening overlap calls when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of scaling multi-channel social presence (Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok, Pinterest) for consumer brands — wellness/fitness/lifestyle preferred.
Strong understanding of algorithms, analytics, and best practices for each platform.
Experience with community building (Reddit AMAs, Facebook Groups) and influencer/UGC programs.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong creative judgment.
Data-driven approach to decision-making and familiarity with tools like Tableau, GA4, You Tube Studio, Tik Tok Analytics, and Pinterest Analytics.
Ability to work at startup speed and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Comfortable managing multi-time-zone workflows and cross-cultural content strategies.
Experience planning and managing digital events and live campaigns.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
