About the Role We are looking for a resourceful and self-driven PHP/My SQL Developer to join our fully remote team and help us enhance and maintain our custom Moodle-based learning platform .
The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, performance, and delivering reliable features that impact thousands of users.
What You'll Do Maintain, extend, and improve our in-house Moodle-based application.
Develop robust back-end features using Core PHP and My SQL/Maria DB .
Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, Java Script, and j Query .
Collaborate with the team to test, debug, and optimize application components for speed, stability, and security.
Write clear technical documentation for features and workflows.
Work with APIs (including RESTful services) and contribute to third-party integrations.
What You'll Need 2+ years of experience in Core PHP development, preferably using MVC architecture.
Strong understanding of My SQL/Maria DB including stored procedures and database optimization.
Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Java Script, and j Query.
Experience working with APIs (especially REST APIs).
Good understanding of debugging, issue tracking, and testing before release.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points (Preferred but not Required) Prior experience with Moodle or Word Press development (please include details).
Comfortable using Git version control system.
Familiarity with Mustache templates .
Experience with CLI tools and Linux environments.
Knowledge of tools like JIRA , Trello , or similar.
