Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js and Express.js to join our growing team.

This is a full-time remote position, specifically for engineers based in India.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising backend systems that power Zendr's financial infrastructure.

If you are passionate about scalable architecture, high-performance APIs, and fintech innovations, we'd love to hear from youKey Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js and Express.js.- Build and optimise RESTful APIs for high-performance transaction processing.- Implement security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.- Work with databases such as Postgre SQL to manage financial data efficiently.- Optimize system performance, ensuring low-latency and high availability.- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.- Implement automated testing (unit, integration) and participate in code reviews.- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments.- Stay updated with industry trends, especially in fintech and payment technologies. Must-Have Requirements:- 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js and Express.js.- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API security.- Practical understanding of designing scalable backend systems- Experience working with Prisma for database interaction, migrations, and query optimisation.- Experience working with databases (Postgre SQL).- Proficiency in asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and real-time data processing.- Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, or Open ID.- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for backend deployment and scalability.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills.- Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:- Knowledge of Web Sockets for real-time applications.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.- Experience in dashboard development and web portals- Previous experience in a startup environment with a hands-on approach.
