About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Remediation Specialist to join our fast-paced, data-driven team.
This is a remote opportunity ideal for professionals with strong SQL development, data quality management, and data migration experience.
You will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing critical data issues across large, complex databases in a production environment.This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving challenging data problems, has experience with schema migrations, rollback strategies, and wants to work with global clinical trial systems in a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, debug, and resolve data quality issues across multiple related tables.Write complex SQL queries using joins, CTEs, window functions, temp tables, and nested queries.Perform schema-level fixes and implement rollback logic using tools like Phinx, Flyway, or Liquibase.Collaborate with product and QA teams to validate fixes, create data validation test cases, and ensure reproducibility.Document root cause analysis (RCA) clearly and communicate solutions with stakeholders.Work with Jira for ticket management, tagging, and maintaining proper workflow.Must-Have SkillsAdvanced SQL Development – strong hands-on experience with complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.Data Remediation Expertise – proven ability to debug and fix production data issues.Database Migration & Rollback Experience – familiarity with schema migrations and rollback tools (Phinx, Flyway, Liquibase).Data Validation & QA – ability to design and execute validation steps to ensure accuracy.Experience with clinical trial systems, CTMS, EDC, or multi-tenant platforms (preferred).Excellent communication and root cause documentation skills.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience in ETL processes, data pipelines, or big data technologies.Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Big Query).Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Why Join Us?100% Remote Opportunity – Work from anywhere in India.Exposure to global clinical data systems and mission-critical applications.Opportunity to lead data remediation initiatives and grow into a Lead/Architect role.Collaborative team culture with continuous learning and growth opportunities.
