To partner with us in this exciting journey are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Chief Research and Development Officer, Aluminium Sector.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -


  • Build and lead a Research Portfolio in areas of Minerals beneficiation, New Product Development, Process Intensification, Energy Reduction and ESG
  • Build and lead a talented Research team consisting of Physical Metallurgist/ Process Engineering and Simulation Specialists
  • Collaborate with External Research Institution like IIT, CSIR, start-up companies to achieve the Business Objectives from Research programs
  • Actively drive R&D and Legal team for registering IP through Patenting or Published articles
  • Ensure strong representation of Vedanta Aluminium as a brand in various Forums including those organized by CSIR, IITs and Ministries association
  • Create robust product Portfolio for Aluminium alloys & New Products in consultation with Marketing team and external consultants


CRITERIA:


  • 60% and above throughout the education
  • ME/M. Tech + PhD (Preferred) with 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of tools like Integrated Computational & Materials Engineering for expediting Alloy Development
  • Expertise in process for entire value chain: Alumina manufacturing - Smelting of Alumina – Production of Aluminium metal
  • Experience of New Product Development in segment of Alumina and Aluminium alloys
  • Experience of Development of Process for utilization of Red Mud, Fly ash or other waste in Alumina and Aluminium Industries
