Job Title: Senior Resident Engineer / Senior Construction Project Manager - Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering


Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead our Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering projects. The ideal candidate should hold a Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Transportation Engineering. Postgraduates in relevant fields will be preferred. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management or Supervision for Construction, particularly in Urban Mobility or Public Health Engineering Works, the candidate should have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage all aspects of projects related to Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction activities, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
  • Apply sound knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and other relevant contractual frameworks to manage project contracts, variations, and claims effectively.
  • Utilize the latest software tools such as Primavera for project planning, scheduling, and resource management, optimizing project efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate engineering, environmental, and public health considerations into project designs and solutions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and cost estimates, to facilitate informed decision-making and stakeholder communication.
  • Mitigate project risks and issues through proactive identification, analysis, and implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against allocated funds and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Leverage international experience and best practices to enhance project delivery and outcomes, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Transportation Engineering. Postgraduates in relevant fields will be preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management or Supervision for Construction, with a focus on Urban Mobility or Public Health Engineering Works.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and other applicable contractual frameworks.
  • At least 8 years of experience working on externally aided infrastructure projects, demonstrating familiarity with international project management standards.
  • Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera, with the ability to develop detailed construction schedules and timelines.
  • International experience in similar roles or projects would be advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, safety, and environmental sustainability in project delivery.
  • Professional certifications or affiliations related to project management or engineering would be desirable.
