Job Description

As the Lead L3 System Engineer , you will design and implement the infrastructure on which our public cloud services are delivered. Your role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, reducing escalations, and fostering team growth while maintaining high levels of security and compliance.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:
  • Lead a team of at least 5 engineers. Conduct monthly evaluations and feedback sessions to enhance performance and skill development.
  • Submit quarterly proposals for process and infrastructure improvements.
  • Escalation & Project Management:
  • Reduce the number of escalations from 30 to 5 per week, with a response time of 1 hour and resolution time of 2 hours.
  • Manage one project per week, ensuring 100% of projects are delivered on time.
  • Communication & Reporting:
  • Communicate weekly with the CTO, ensuring all action points are completed within deadlines.
  • Generate weekly reports on tickets while maintaining an employee satisfaction score of 9+.
  • Outsourcing & Audits:
  • Support and develop the full outsourcing of support services within one year.
  • Conduct annual audits adhering to ISO 27001 and GDPR standards, aiming for 0 critical findings.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement weekly improvements to internal procedures.
  • Save half an hour per managed server delivery through process optimization.


Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Network Management:
  • Expertise in networks, routing, switching, and network security to efficiently manage infrastructure and resolve issues quickly.
  • Server Management:
  • Hands-on experience with both physical and virtual servers (Linux/Windows), covering configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Automation & Scripting:
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and scripting languages (Bash, Python) for efficiency improvements.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards to ensure compliance and system security.
  • Backup & Recovery:
  • Expertise in backup strategies and recovery tools (e.g., Acronis) to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Monitoring & Logging:
  • Proficiency with tools like Zabbix and Graylog for proactive system performance monitoring.
  • Database & Containerization:
  • Knowledge in managing relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Leadership & Problem Solving:
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to train, mentor, and coach team members. Analytical thinking for quick and effective decision-making under pressure.

  • Skilled in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
