Role Overview The Marketing Manager – India will be responsible for developing and executing localized marketing strategies that grow awareness, adoption, and engagement of Houdini and other SideFX products across the Indian creative ecosystem. You will work closely with SideFX’s global marketing, education, and sales teams to build brand presence, drive lead generation, and nurture relationships within the Indian film, TV, animation, and gaming industries. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic, and hands-on marketer who understands both technology and the creative arts community . Key Responsibilities Strategic & Regional Marketing Develop and execute India-specific marketing plans aligned with global brand strategy. Localize global campaigns to resonate with Indian studios, freelancers, and educational partners. Identify market opportunities in key regions (Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune) across film, gaming, and education sectors. Manage and report on marketing budgets, KPIs, and ROI for the region. Community & Brand Building Cultivate and grow the Indian Houdini artist community through meetups, workshops, user events, and online engagement. Partner with local VFX studios, production houses, and industry associations to co-host events and showcase SideFX’s technologies. Collaborate with Indian universities and training centers to support SideFX Education initiatives and academic programs. Digital & Content Marketing Drive digital campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing) to increase awareness and drive downloads/trials. Create and manage regionally relevant content – blog posts, artist spotlights, case studies, videos, and webinars. Manage social media channels and online communities (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Discord) with region-specific storytelling. Event & Partnership Management Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in trade shows, festivals, and conferences (e.G., ASIFA India, IndiaJoy, GAFX, VAM and many more). Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners (software resellers, hardware vendors, animation schools). Support global PR initiatives by sourcing local success stories and press opportunities. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred). 3–5 years of marketing experience in technology, creative software, VFX, animation, or gaming industries. Demonstrated success in running integrated marketing campaigns, ideally for software or creative technology products. Excellent understanding of India’s media & entertainment landscape (VFX, film, animation, gaming, edtech). Strong digital marketing expertise (Google Ads, social platforms, analytics tools, CRM). Exceptional communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with global teams. Self-driven, creative, and comfortable working in a hybrid/remote setup. Passion for 3D art, procedural workflows, or the creative industries is a strong plus. Experience with Houdini or familiarity with 3D software (Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity) is advantageous.
