Job Description: Social Media Intern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling visual content for various social media platforms using Canva.
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Design graphics, infographics, and other visual elements that align with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas for campaigns.
  • Help in creating and maintaining a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting.
  • Connect and collaborate with UGC creators across different platforms to source and repurpose authentic content.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media channels.
  • Stay updated with social media trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant program (communications, marketing, graphic design, etc.).
  • Proficient in using Canva for designing social media graphics.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of how to create and manage a content calendar.
  • Interest in networking with UGC creators and influencer outreach.
  • Creative mindset with an ability to translate ideas into compelling visuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with social media management, content creation, or influencer outreach is a plus.
