Essential SkillsThe candidate should have experience working with a consulting firm or think-tank at the intersection of technology and public policy or institutions working on digital governance. The candidate should bring excellent knowledge of technology policy—data protection and privacy, digital ID and e-KYC, and regulatory sandbox.
DescriptionThe Manager – Tech Policy is expected to:
Play a critical role in the delivery of different client engagements of MSC. Work at the intersection of technology, public policy, and social development. Work closely with the government and private sector stakeholders in India and outside on different facets of technology policy that may include digital ID and e-KYC, data protection and privacy, regulatory sandboxes, digital public goods (DPGs), etc. Also work on HealthTech, AgTech, and FinTech domains.Detailed Responsibilities:
Business Development
Contribute effectively to the thought-leadership that may include writing analytical policy briefs, op-eds, reports, MSC’s toolkits, and other thematic publications Develop high-quality pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals to be submitted to potential clients and other stakeholders Plan and lead the digital campaigns on different focus areas of the MSC.Professional Development
Take relevant courses and training to develop/ deepen expertise and enhance skill-set in consultation with the Reporting Manager Provide and seek timely feedback from the team members Mentor Associates and Analysts and assist them in upgrading their knowledge and skillsBusiness Execution
Work effectively and collaboratively on consulting engagements on technology policy with the government and private sector stakeholders in India and outside. This may include:Understanding the problem and key requirements, conducting in-depth issue analysis,Framing the practical recommendations, andPresenting the same to the client and relevant stakeholders Develop high-quality notes, presentations, and reports as required in the different consulting engagements Attend the client and official meetings in India and outside Represent CRT and MSC at different workshops, conferences, and events in India and outside.
