Job Title: Senior Accountant / Record to Report (RTR) Specialist

Location: Pune, India

Experience: 3-6 Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant / RTR Specialist with 3-6 years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities . The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AICO, and HFM , along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

  • Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting and month-end closing activities for multiple entities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, bank entries, provisions, and reclassification in SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies .
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements .

Record to Report (RTR) & Reconciliations:

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations , ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle bank reconciliations and clear bank books with company records.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations , accruals, and bad debt provisioning.
  • Conduct GL clearing and review account reconciliation reports .

Month-End & Year-End Close Activities:

  • Manage and execute RTR period-end close processes.
  • Prepare depreciation schedules, amortization schedules, and foreign exchange calculations .
  • Ensure accurate numbers loading in HFM and submission of reports.
  • Monitor accrual reversals and ensure compliance with financial policies.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Assist in financial audits , ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support tax compliance activities , including GST, VAT, and other indirect taxes .
  • Ensure timely closure of audit queries and documentation of financial reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: M.Com / B.Com / CA Inter or equivalent in Accounting & Finance.
  • Experience: 3-6 years in Financial Accounting, General Ledger, and Record to Report (RTR) .
  • Technical Skills: SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AICO, HFM, Tally ERP9.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, multitasking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in BPM / Shared Services / Global Finance Operations .
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial reporting, and audit requirements .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment .
