As an Engineering Manager at PTW , As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, overseeing the development of gaming projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality games on time. Your in-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine and strong leadership abilities will be essential in driving the technical success of our games.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth
Set clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and excellence
Project Management:
Oversee the development lifecycle of gaming projects, from concept to release, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and QA, to align project goals and drive efficient development processes
Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure effective communication of project status and updates to stakeholders
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Unreal Engine and its tools, frameworks, and best practices
Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, assisting with complex problem-solving, code reviews, and optimization
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in game development, Unreal Engine features, and industry best practices
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements within the development pipeline
Drive the implementation of best practices, coding standards, and tools to optimize development workflows
Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and game performance
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective collaboration and communication across teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives, priorities, and dependencies
Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders, including product managers, artists, and designers, to facilitate smooth project execution
Communicate technical concepts and requirements clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Proven experience of 8+ years in game development, with a focus on Unreal Engine
Previous experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing a team of engineers
Strong understanding of software development principles, agile methodologies, and project management practices
Proficiency in C++ programming language and scripting languages commonly used in game development
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience working on successful game titles released on multiple platforms
Familiarity with other game engines, such as Unity, and ability to adapt to different technologies
Knowledge of multiplayer/networking concepts and implementation in game development
Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques for games
