Requirements and responsibilities
As DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. Your expertise in AWS services, particularly EMR, Data Glue, EKS, OpenSearch, and Keyspace, will enable you to architect scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions for our applications and workloads.
What you'll do:
Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and implement scalable and resilient cloud architectures on AWS using services like EMR, Data Glue, EKS, OpenSearch, and Keyspace.
Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
Continuous Integration and Deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ADO, Git Lab and AWS CodePipeline to automate software delivery processes.
Performance Optimization: Collaborate with development teams to optimize the performance and scalability of applications running on AWS, particularly Spark workloads on EMR.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Amazon CloudWatch Logs, and AWS X-Ray to ensure visibility into application and infrastructure health.
Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices and compliance standards across AWS environments, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption.
Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions on AWS to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EMR, Data Glue, EKS, OpenSearch, and Keyspace.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
8+ years of work experience with hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using ADO, Git Lab and AWS CodePipeline.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and AWS services.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of database technologies such as Amazon RDS, Apache Cassandra.
