Job Summary

As a Software Engineer II - Fix Client Onboarding Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team, you will be a member of the FIX Onboarding team working within a global group and will be responsible for the Onboarding, certification and enhancement work from start to finish for FIX clients accessing the JPM product suite. You are responsible for providing global electronic trading services to JPMorgan’s clients using the Financial Information Exchange protocol (FIX). Asset classes cover primarily Equities, Derivatives and FX, and services cover High Touch, Program Trading, Allocations, IOIs, Algorithmic trading and Direct Market access.

Job Responsibilities

You will be working closely with both the front office and other technology teams to gather and analyze client and business requirements  Drive the conception and implementation of creative and robust solutions in a high productivity environment.  You will also be participating in and managing larger scale project work and also providing second line support. Be a productive self-starter capable not only of implementing requested changes quickly and accurately, but also capable of influencing the nature of those changes using your own knowledge and insight.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Experience of FIX client Onboarding or support Experience of working with vendor systems and connectivity hubs. Experience in a client facing role. Clear communicator able to work well under pressure. Strong familiarity with Unix/Linux and basic shell scripting. Experience of programming in Java.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Project management. Knowledge of networking: Firewalls and key vendors such as TNS/Radianz. Good knowledge of Equities or F&O front office trading systems. Experience of a trading floor environment. Understanding of Equities and/or F&O end to end trading flows
