As a Software Engineer II - Java Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our order management system with a focus on achieving low-latency execution in electronic trading environments.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize low-latency trading systems within the order management system framework. Develop and maintain high-performance, multi-threaded applications using core Java. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, particularly in relation to Equity and Fixed income derivatives trading. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Utilize cloud technology to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance of trading systems.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Expertise in core Java programming and multi-threaded application development. Expertise in foundational data structures and algorithms. Familiarity with FIX (Financial Information Exchange) protocol and electronic trading infrastructure. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of AWS cloud computing platforms and experience with cloud-based development. Proven experience in electronic trading technology, with a strong understanding of equity and fixed income derivatives
