Overview:As a Front Desk Receptionist in our hospital, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. Your role is crucial in creating a positive and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and exhibit a compassionate and helpful demeanor. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the hospital's front desk.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Assisting Visitors:Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information and directions to various hospital departments.

Patient Registration:Collect and verify patient information during the registration process.
Ensure accurate entry of patient details into the hospital database.

Appointment Scheduling:Manage appointment schedules for various departments.
Coordinate with medical staff to schedule appointments efficiently.

Telephone Management:Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments.
Take and relay messages in a timely and accurate manner.

Administrative Support:Assist with administrative tasks, including sorting and distributing mail, maintaining records, and managing office supplies.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Insurance Verification:Verify and update patient insurance information.
Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and processes.

Cash Handling:Handle patient payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate with billing and finance departments as needed.

Emergency Response:Follow established protocols for handling emergency situations.
Ensure effective communication during emergencies.

Customer Service:Address inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Strive to provide excellent customer service to enhance the overall patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and basic office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹24,000.00 per month
