Solutioner is an executive search organization partnering with our client to find a seasoned and strategic HR leader.
The Opportunity
We seek a seasoned and strategic HR leader to join our client, a well-established diversified conglomerate, as the Head of Human Resources – Corporate. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and developing the HR function across the entire group, ensuring their HR practices are aligned with their overall business strategy and drive the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the group, with a strong understanding of Industrial Relations (IR) considerations.
Oversee all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and learning & development, catering to the diverse needs of both white-collar and blue-collar employees (workforce management).
Provide strategic guidance and counsel to senior management on all HR matters, including IR issues.
Lead the HR team in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with all labor laws and regulations, navigating the complexities of IR.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the group, including business unit leaders, union representatives (if applicable), and employees.
Champion a positive and inclusive company culture that fosters employee engagement and high performance for a young and dynamic workforce.
Stay abreast of current HR trends and best practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve HR processes with a forward-thinking approach.
Develop and manage the HR budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in a senior HR leadership role within a multi-diversified or complex organization, with proven success in managing a workforce with both white-collar and blue-collar employees.
Demonstrated understanding of Industrial Relations (IR) principles and practices, including collective bargaining, grievance procedures, and labor laws.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies that address the unique needs of a young and dynamic workforce.
Strong understanding of all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and learning & development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, including with union representatives (if applicable).
Proficient in HR technology and information systems.
Global mindset with experience working in a multi-cultural environment (a plus).
