We are hiring for a steel manufacturing for Inspection Engineer -CMS

Location: Hazira, SuratExperience: 10 -15 AboveEducation: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical engineering.

Job Purpose:To perform inspection (Dimensional Inspection, Hardness Test, NDT, Thickness Measurement) of Material and Mechanical Equipment (APD) received at Central Stores, CMS Shop, Plant site & Vendor site.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:Inspection at Central Store, Plant Site & Vendor Site.

a. Ensure efficient functioning of the Quality Assurance department in accordance with the relevant procedures & work instructions.b. Measurement and Testing of Components (Machined, Fabricated & Critical Assemblies) at Supplier end & in Plant Site.c. Use and knowledge of Measuring instruments and techniques.d. Independent handling of Quality Inspection based on Drawing, QAP & P.O.e. Preparing detailed inspection reports for the inspection carried out. Assigning Decision to the job as ACCEPTED / REWORK / REJECTED based on the inspection results with respect to Purchase Order Specification.f. Communicating the results of inspection to the concerned User Department.g. Maintaining records of inspection, filing and uploading the Inspection Reports to SAP system as per Work Order.h. Review/Prepare Quality Assurance Plan, wherever needed.i. To perform in-process inspection of equipment and spares during various stages of assembly as assigned. To check parameters such as Centre Distance, Axial Float, Radial Clearance, Back-lash, blue match, Run-Out, Face-Out, NDT, pressure testing for Critical Equipment like Gear Box, Roller Assembly, Frame Assembly, Blowers, Compressors, Cylinders, etc. as per Work Order scope and standard practice. Communicate regarding the ACCEPTANCE / REWORK to ERS department for further process as per Work Order Scope.j. To check the completed assemblies for Visual defects, conformity to Drawings and orientation. Check free movement of parts, abnormal noise. Check greasing is done, and Oil/ Grease lines are clean wherever applicable. Ensure all inspection is complete as per scope of Work Order and standard practices. If any deviation observed – inform ERS department for Rectification.k. Ensure control of non-conforming products during in process and final inspection.
