Job Title - Head Auto & EMEC Sector, India(Auto & Engineering, Manufacturing, Energy & Chemical Sector)

Purpose of the Role -

As a Sector Head -Auto & EMEC you will be responsible to define the Strategic Direction of the Sector Capabilities & Growth in India. The role has a yearly ‘Net Growth’ Country Target where you would be expected to drive the pipeline development, new Business Conversions and Retentions in conjunction with Business Developers and Account Managers focusing on the Sector and are part of the Regional Teams (North, West & East, South)

Key Responsibilities

Drive Key RFQs & Customer Pursuits. Help to win. Meet India Sector Growth ACG / AGP Targets

Actively support Business Developers & Customer Developers in closing key deals/ contract negotiations – New and Renewals

Develop relationships with identified strategic Customers to build pipeline

Conduct/participate in APAC/country workshops for sector pipeline development and key opportunity map for the year. Engage in follow-up action plan with APAC / In- country stakeholders

Develop overall Sector Roadmap & Strategy along with BD & India Regional Leadership ( Short Term -1 year, Long Term - 3 year)

Lead/ Collaborate sector solution development topics (sub-sector deep-dives, solution/ product feature development, case study development, sector pitch decks, marketing initiatives)with other key stakeholders viz Solution Design, IT, Ops Excellence, HR etc.

Bring in global/ APAC regional best practices to India

Publish a calendar for year’s plan

Be the Sector Subject Matter Expert (SME) for India

Collaborate with GAM/ CSI for senior stakeholder engagement/ development for Global Accounts

Engage Coach network for proactive development topic alignment via C4L/ QBRs

Support on customer escalations as and when support is needed/ asked for

Deliver India value proposition to selected customers – Dashboard, SOPs etc

Engage with customers via industry/ DHL dedicated forums. Drive thought leadership for DHL

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to demonstrate deep understanding of the Sector along with Supply Chain / Logistics Nuances of the sector

Past Experience in Individual Target Driven Business Development / Sales Roles

Leadership experience in Managing Teams directly or influencing teams in a Matrix Organization

Ability to work in ambiguous situation and with multiple internal stakeholders to drive the growth of the Sector

Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to conduct convincing presentations and influence decisions

Listens attentively, and summarizes or asks questions, when needed, to clarify information

Ability to build rapport with clients, Internal stakeholders and handle multiple initiatives at a time

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well in cross-functional teams

Exposure to analytics and data summarization

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Years of Experience - 5-10 years’ experience in Contract Logistics / Logistics Consulting environment in a Business Development / Operations / Product or Service Development Role

Experience in delivering Individual Sales Targets preferred

Education - MBA from a Reputed College preferred

Graduate from a Reputed College
