About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Vertex Consultant with a strong background in tax engine configuration and integration with SAP S/4HANA. This role involves supporting post-Go-Live activities, managing tax rules and rates, and ensuring accurate tax calculation and compliance in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize Vertex (Tax Engine) configuration for various business units in a post-Go-Live setup.
  • Maintain and update tax rules, rates, and logic in SAP ERP.
  • Develop custom tax rules based on specific business requirements.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Vertex with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Handle VAT and withholding tax (TDS) configurations and processing.
  • Manage interfaces with third-party systems for tax processing.
  • Map product groups to Vertex-defined tax matrices.
  • Troubleshoot issues with tax hierarchy, assist rules, and lookup tables.
  • Maintain and update RICEF documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance on excise tax processing, compliance, and reporting.
  • Develop test cases for regression testing and monitor outcomes.
  • Support and resolve issues related to Vertex Returns.

Technical Skills Required:

Expert-level experience in Vertex (Tax Engine)
Integration of Vertex with SAP S/4HANA
Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS, Sales & Purchase Tax
Familiarity with SAP tax codes, procedures, conditions
Good understanding of tax interfaces with third-party systems
Hands-on with custom tax rule development and technical documentation
Ability to troubleshoot tax-related technical issues effectively
