We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud Vertex Tax Functional Consultant with 510 years of experience in indirect taxation and ERP-tax integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Vertex tax systems, Oracle Cloud ERP, and end-to-end tax process design. This role requires a combination of tax domain knowledge, ERP functional expertise, and technical troubleshooting skills, ensuring accurate tax calculation, compliance, and seamless integration of Vertex with Oracle Cloud :


- Strong understanding of indirect taxation (Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, Withholding Tax).

- 5+ years experience with Vertex tax systems and ERP integrations.

- Knowledge of tax calculation rules, jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments.

- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.

- Experience troubleshooting API integrations and data feeds.

- Understanding of tax compliance reporting requirements.

- Familiarity with SOX audit requirements for tax processes.

- Experience with FBDI & ADFdi for data imports and updates.

- Strong problem-solving skills for complex tax calculation issues.

- Ability to document and communicate technical solutions effectively.


Key Responsibilities


- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Vertex tax solutions integrated with Oracle Cloud ERP.

- Define and maintain tax determination rules, product taxability matrices, and jurisdictional mappings.

- Support ERP integration with Vertex for sales, procurement, and financial transactions.

- Manage tax data imports/updates using FBDI & ADFdi templates.

- Ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations (Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, Withholding Tax) across multiple jurisdictions.

- Support tax compliance reporting and ensure accurate and timely tax filings.

- Implement processes aligned with SOX audit requirements for tax accuracy and internal controls.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex tax calculation issues, API integrations, and data feed errors.

- Perform SQL queries and data analysis to validate tax setups and transaction-level accuracy.

- Collaborate with IT and business teams to design automated solutions for recurring tax issues.

- Collaborate with finance, tax, and technology teams to gather requirements and design tax solutions.

- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfers with business users.

- Document functional designs, solution approaches, and technical specifications clearly for Skills & Experience : 510 years in tax technology, with at least 5+ years in Vertex tax systems and ERP Indirect taxation : Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, Withholding Tax.


- Tax calculation rules, jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments.

- Oracle Cloud ERP financials and procurement flows.

- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and troubleshooting tax-related integrations.

- Hands-on experience with FBDI & ADFdi templates for data management.

- Understanding of tax compliance reporting requirements and SOX audit controls.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Oracle ERP Cloud or Vertex certification(s).

- Experience in global tax implementations across multiple countries.

- Knowledge of emerging tax technologies (AI-driven tax engines, automation tools).

- Consulting or client-facing project experience with large-scale ERP rollouts.
